3 Accident Vids That Make Us Grateful For Dashcams
Few things are more uncontrollable than the behaviors of other drivers.
Whether it’s a hit-and-run, theft, or a violent encounter, the safety of you and your passengers can be put at risk within seconds.
Due to their random nature, many of these types of incidents are hard to prevent, but dashcams offer a way to recall, record, and recover from damages incurred (financially/legally.)
Here are 3 instances that make us grateful for the dashcams, courtesy of Blackvue.
Dash Cam Catches Sideswipe Accident #CaughtOnBlackVue
Sometimes your dash cam comes to the aid of those around you, providing you’re the Good Samaritan type.
In this video, the victim in the left lane was able to get footage from the owner of this dashcam, which was probably a great help when it came time for the insurance claim (especially considering the other driver sped off).
This Is Why You Need A Dashcam - Serious Intersection Crash Captured On BlackVue
This one might be a little hard to watch, as we find out there was a family in the car which was hit by the Amazon truck that ran the light.
What makes this footage so valuable is that, if not for the dashcam, there might not have been any witnesses of this incident, since the intersection was quite empty at the time. Just another reason dash cams are so valuable.
$2000 In Damages And Unruly Culprit #CaughtOnBlackVue
Though not a major accident, the small dent that resulted from this rear-end incident was estimated to cost the driver $2000.
This would’ve been expensive if not for the dash cam’s rear cam, which showed what happened, despite the other driver claiming the dent was already there! Yet again, the dash cam proved its value and probably paid for itself with this incident.
