What's the next safety step?
My parents bought a new (to them) car last November. My mom was very pumped about the included backup and side camera.
"It has grid lines when you back up! The cameras change when I use my turn signal!" She happily exclaimed after she brought it home. When I came back to Kansas for Christmas, she proudly showed me how everything worked.
Many new vehicles now come standard with backup and/or side cameras. It makes sense. Laws are changing, and the new generation are learning to drive with cameras. The question remains, how can I make my parents even safer? After hearing all about my mom's backup camera, I took the opportunity to teach her a bit more about dash cameras.
I recommend one of my favorite dash cameras, the RVS-875-DL 2.4" Dual Lens Full HD Dash Camera With GPS. It's very simple to install and charge, has a dual lens, and has full HD video recording. A dash cam in my parents' car gives me peace of mind. The purpose is manifold; it comes in great use in case of an accident for insurance reasons or to present to a court, and they can be used to dispute traffic tickets.
RVS-875-DL
- Full HD (front cam) and HD (rear cam) video recording
- 2.4" display with built-in GPS
- Powered/charged with a cigarette lighter adapter or USB cable
- 4 infra-red Illuminators - Excellent night vision
What about the commercial world? Dash cameras work great for the consumer, or even small businesses. The first time I used a dash camera was when I delivered sandwiches in college, but what about for larger fleets with bigger vehicles? The answer is The MobileMule™ DVR Series.
MobileMule DVR Series
Mobile DVR's are perfect for fleet managers by providing footage of accidents and information on vehicle's whereabouts and driving routes. This information is essential for managing vehicles and drivers and are incredibly helpful for insurance reasons.
Here's a video of our 8 Channel MobileMule™ Mobile DVR with multiple cameras on a bus. With multiple cameras all around the outside of the bus and some inside, the driver is able to see all blind spots and the fleet manager can easily check on his fleet even while it's on the road! All footage can be viewed and downloaded remotely with live video remote viewing, making this system perfect for fleets.

I'm very happy that i'd able to help keep my parents and others safe with vehicle safety technology.
