Rear View Safety At RVIA 2016
The office is a little quieter this week. No, we’re not taking off work because of rainy weather, and I’m not working from home. A few members of our team are showing off our latest RV safety technology at The RVIA National RV Trade Show at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Here’s a video from last year.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous. I would love to go to a show and talk about Rear View Safety and all the great things that we offer. I know it’s a lot of work, but I think I could (one day) be up for the challenge.
Rear View Safety will be showcasing new products and safety technologies, including The RVS-921 Clearance Light Backup Camera. The Clearance Light Backup Camera is perfect for RV’s, as it mounts in the center of vehicle and provides a super wide 150° viewing angle of the road and hitch. Both SAE J2042 (FEB 2014) and SAE J592 (MAR 2009) approved, The RVS-921 features 540 TV lines and 8 infra-red lights that provide excellent night vision. The Clearance Light Backup Camera is also completely waterproof with an IP68 rating.
The RVS-77535 360° Surround View Camera System will also be featured at the show. This system increases overall safety by not only erasing blind spots, but also by assisting with parking and helping with navigation on narrow roads. The omni-directional perspective creates a bird’s eye view of the vehicle. The system also includes standard 2D views and is a fully functional DVR, capable of 24 hour loop recording.
This is the premier RV industry event. In its 54th year, the 2016 National RV Trade show features models from more than 30 RV manufactures, exhibits from over 200 industry suppliers, and more than 7,600 industry professionals. RVIA 2016 also offers free technical training sessions, and education sessions on with RV related topics, and two keynote speakers, including Harley Davidson Director of Communications, Ken Schmidt.
