Airbags are advanced enough to protect a passenger at nearly every possible angle of a crash. Hyundai and parts supplier company Hyundia Mobis are pioneering a new kind of airbag, for panoramic sunroofs.

According to a video released by the company the system prevented the passenger from being flung out of the car and cushioned the impact on the head. Serious injury likely to result in the death of the passenger were reduced to minor injuries. The airbag inflates in 0.08 seconds and will go off even if the sunroof is closed.
